| My favorite things in life don't cost any money. It's really clear that the most precious resource we all have is time. Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Quality is more important than quantity. One home run is much better than two doubles. The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do. Be a yardstick of quality. Some people aren't used to an environment where excellence is expected. Things don't have to change the world to be important. Remembering that I'll be dead soon is the most important tool I've ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Let's go invent tomorrow rather than worrying about what happened yesterday. You have to believe that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You can build your own things that other people can use. And once you learn that, you’ll never be the same again. The people that have really made the contributions have been the thinkers and the doers. Once you discover one simple fact, and that is that everything around you that you call 'life' was made up by people who were no smarter than you. One way to remember who you are is to remember who your heroes are. It’s more fun to be a pirate than to join the Navy. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. If today were the last of your life, would you do what you were going to do today? Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don’t want to die to get there. Most people don’t get those experiences because they never ask. I’ve never found anybody that didn’t want to help me if I asked them for help. I think different religions are different doors to the same house. Sometimes I think the house exists, and sometimes I don’t. It’s the great mystery. If you are working on something exciting that you really care about, you don’t have to be pushed. The vision pulls you. My job is not to be easy on people. Humans are tool builders. We create things to amplify ourselves. We’re here to put a dent in the universe. Otherwise why else even be here? Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. |
