3형식의 수동태 전환
| ∙자동사+전치사(laugh at, look at), 타동사+명사+전치사(take care of, pay attention to)의 수동태 전환시 전치사가 누락되면 틀린다. ∙They say that he is ill. = It is said that he is ill. = He is said to be ill. ∙They tell us that he is ill. = It is told to us that he is ill. = We are told that he is ill. |
￭ He was very shy and couldn't stand (laughing, being laughed, being laughed at).
￭ While his mother was away, the boy was taken care by us. (○, ×)
