“her mother” 뒤에 “is offensive”가 생 략

● not so much A as B 구문

① get across(전달하다)의 목적어는 across의 앞이나 뒤 둘다에 위치할 수 있다.
② 비교급을 이용한 최상급의 내용을 전달하는 문장인데 traffic jams와 다른 도시들의 교통체증을 비교할 수 있도록 those in any other city의 형태로 되어 있으므로 비교의 대상이 동일한 성격이므로 올바른 표현이다. those가 빠지면 잘못된 문장이다.
③ making eye contact이하가 동명사로서 주어로 쓰였으므로 동사는 단수형인 is가 적절하며 person과 you 사이에는 목적격 관계대명사 whom이 생략된 올바른 영작이다.
