오징어 게임 설계도
1980년대까지도 유행하던 놀이. 맨 땅에 금을 긋고 하는 게임.
이름이 오징어인 것은 금을 그은 모습이 오징어와 비슷하기 때문. 오징어를 기본으로 해서 오징어 달구지, 오징어 땅콩, 오징어가 이상, 오징어 가이상, 오징어 이상, 오징어 포 등 전국적으로 다양한 이름으로 불렸다. 가이상이란 명칭의 유래는 오징어 포라고도 불렸다는 것 때문에 가이산(かいさん, 海産), 바깥으로 선을 그었다는 점에서 가이센(がいせん, 外線), 싸움의 형태라는 것 때문에 카이센(かいせん, 会戦, 海戦, 開戦, 快戦) 등이 언급되는데 무엇이 원형인지는 알 수 없다. 민속놀이 사이트의 게임과 규칙, 어원 설명 링크. 이 사이트에서는 오징어 포를 의미하는 오징어 가이산을 어원으로 보고 있다.
가이상이란 명칭 때문에 일본에서 유래된 것이 아닌가 하는 의견도 있는데 일본에도 정확하게 대응되는 놀이는 없다. 그나마 원 안에서 아이들끼리 등으로 몸을 밀어내어 원 밖의 술래에게 잡히면 아웃인 오시쿠라만쥬(おしくらまんじゅう)나, 사각이나 원 안에 십자가를 그어놓은 뒤 술래는 그 안에서만 움직이고, 안의 아이들이 술래에게 잡히지 않도록 일주하는 십자 가이센(十字がいせん) 정도가 비슷하다면 비슷한데, 이들 역시 오징어와는 많이 다르다. 애초에 엄밀한 형태나 규칙은 다르지만 맨땅에 금을 그어놓고 안과 밖으로 나뉘어 몸싸움을 벌이는 형태의 아이들 놀이는 세계 여기저기에 다양하게 보이는 듯하다
규칙
경기장은 커다란 동그라미, 세모, 네모 모양이 붙어 있는 곳에서 하게 된다. 동그란 부분은 공격 진영, 세모/네모 부분은 수비 진영이다.
세모 부분의 한쪽 모서리는 공격측의 동그란 부분과 겹쳐지는데 최종 공격 측의 목표는 이곳을 터치하여 '만세'를 부르는 것이고 성공할 경우 또다시 공격이 가능하다. 반대로 수비 측의 경우는 공격 측을 모두 제거해야 하며 이 경우 공수가 교대된다.
수비 측의 세모와 네모 부분 사이에는 좁은 통로가 있다. 기본적으로 오징어 몸통 밖에서는 한 발로 플레이해야 하지만 공격 측이 이 통로를 한쪽에서 반대쪽으로 통과하게 되면 이후로는 어디에서나 두 발로 플레이할 수 있다.
오징어 몸통을 통과하지 않아도 만세가 불가능한 것은 아니다. 이 경우 수비측의 네모 부분에서 넘어지게 되면 아웃이고 세모 부분에서는 한 발로 플레이해야 한다.
공수 양측에서 한 발로 1:1 맞짱이 자주 이루어진다. 거의 동시에 넘어지더라도 조금이라도 먼저 넘어진 쪽의 패배이며 조금이라도 나중에 넘어진 쪽은 계속해서 플레이할 수 있다.
네모 부분 끝의 입구를 제외하고 오징어 몸통 안쪽에서 바깥쪽으로 밀려나거나 바깥쪽에서 안쪽으로 딸려오면 아웃이다.
공격 측에서 소극적인 공격을 펼치면 수비 측에서 공격 진영으로 들어가는 경우도 있다. 수비 측은 공격 진영에서 원칙적으로 한 발로 플레이해야 하지만 진영에 들어가서 누군가가 '감방'을 외치게 되면 이후로는 수비 측도 모두 두 발로 플레이할 수 있음
드라마 <오징어 게임>이 한국 작품으로서는 최초로 미국 넷플릭스에서 인기 작품 1위를 차지했다.
22일 넷플릭스 순위 집계 사이트 ‘플릭스 패트롤’에 따르면 넷플릭스 한국 오리지널 드라마 <오징어 게임>은 전날까지 미국에서 1위였던 <오티스의 비밀 상담소>를 앞지르고 선두를 달리고 있다. 월드 랭킹 TV 쇼 부문에서도 2위를 기록 중이다. 지금까지 한국 넷플릭스 오리지널 시리즈가 기록한 미국 최고 순위 작품은 지난해 공개된 <스위트홈>(3위)이었다.
<오징어 게임>은 한국과 미국에서는 물론 홍콩, 대만, 베트남, 아랍에미리트, 쿠웨이트, 싱가포르 등 총 14개 국가에서 1위를 기록했다. 영국, 프랑스, 독일 등 39개 국가에서는 2위를 차지하며 세계적인 관심을 받는 데 성공했다.
<오징어 게임>은 더는 물러날 곳이 없는 이들이 거대한 공간에 갇혀 456억원의 상금을 차지하기 위해 목숨을 걸고 벌이는 미스터리한 서바이벌 게임을 그린 작품이다. 화려하고 거대한 스케일의 세트장과 이정재의 연기 변신이 눈에 띄며 박해수, 오영수, 위하준, 정호연, 허성태, 아누팜 트리파티, 김주령 등 주·조연의 연기력도 합격점을 받았다. 영화 <도가니>, <수상한 그녀>, <남한산성>, <도굴>의 황동혁 감독의 군더더기 없는 연출도 호평받고 있다.

The playing field is played in a place where large circles, triangles and squares are attached. The round part is the attacking camp, and the triangle/square part is the defending camp.
